Our website is not directed at children and is not intended for use by children.

3.1 Data you provide to us

We currently expect to collect:

  • Newsletter subscriptions: name and email address, and records of your subscription and confirmation (we use double opt-in).
  • Contact forms/enquiries: name, email address, and the content of your message.

If we add additional fields or services (for example, an online shop), we will update this policy.

3.2 Data collected automatically (website usage)

When you visit our website, we (and our service providers) may collect:

  • IP address,
  • device and browser information,
  • pages visited and interactions (e.g., clicks),
  • referral source (how you arrived),
  • approximate location derived from IP,
  • cookie identifiers and related usage information.

4. How we use your data (purposes)

We use your personal data to:

  1. Respond to enquiries and communicate with you.
  2. Send newsletters/updates (email only), where you have subscribed and confirmed via double opt-in.
  3. Maintain website security and prevent fraud/abuse.
  4. Operate and improve the website, including measuring performance and effectiveness (where permitted and/or where you have consented).
  5. Support future services such as payments (e.g., Stripe) if introduced (this policy will be updated accordingly).

5. Legal bases for processing (UK GDPR)

We rely on these legal bases:

  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) – for newsletter/marketing emails (double opt-in), and for non-essential cookies/technologies (analytics, advertising pixels, many embeds), where required by PECR.
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) – to respond to enquiries, operate our website, prevent misuse, and maintain security, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) – where we must comply with applicable law.
  • Contract (Article 6(1)(b)) – if we later introduce paid services or transactions, we may process necessary data to perform a contract with you.

If you subscribe, we send you updates by email only. We use double opt-in to confirm you want to receive emails.

You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails, or by contacting contact@raymondchandler.co.uk. We do not share mailing lists with third parties for their own marketing.

7. Who we share data with

We may share personal data with trusted service providers who help us run the website and communications:

  • Web hosting: Krystal (UK-based).
  • Email marketing platform: Mailchimp.
  • Website development / IT support: our website developer(s) (UK-based), who may have access to website systems and data strictly to provide support and maintenance.

We may also use (now or in future), depending on site configuration:

  • Analytics and tag management: Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
  • Advertising/measurement pixels: Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn, X (Twitter).
  • Embedded content providers: YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, Apple.
  • Spam protection: Google reCAPTCHA.
  • Payments (future): Stripe.

Some of these providers may act as processors (processing data on our instructions) or, depending on the service and configuration, may act as independent controllers for certain processing.

8. International transfers

Some providers (including Mailchimp and, if used, Stripe) may process personal data outside the UK (for example in the US and/or EU). Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we will use appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) and/or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), plus any supplementary measures required.

9. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described:

  • Contact/enquiry data: retained for up to 24 months after the last correspondence.
  • Newsletter subscriber data: kept while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we may keep a minimal record (e.g., your email address) on a suppression list to ensure we respect your opt-out.
  • Licensing data: licensing data will not be kept in the website.
  • Transactions: we do not currently process transactions on the website or keep transaction records via the website. If we add payments/e-commerce in future, we will update this policy.

10. Your rights

You have rights under UK GDPR, including:

  • access to your data,
  • correction of inaccurate data,
  • deletion (in certain circumstances),

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, and your choices. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We may also use similar technologies (such as pixels and tags) that work in a similar way.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as submitting forms, setting privacy preferences, or maintaining security.

These help us understand how visitors use the site (e.g., pages visited, time on site, interactions). We may use Google Analytics (GA4) for this purpose.

Marketing/advertising cookies (optional)

These may be used to measure advertising and understand interactions across platforms. We may use technologies such as:

  • Meta Pixel
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag
  • X (Twitter) Pixel/tag

Embedded content cookies (optional)

If we embed content from third parties, those providers may set cookies when the embed loads. This can include:

Security / anti-spam

We may use Google reCAPTCHA to protect forms against spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA may collect information about your device and interactions to assess whether activity is automated.

4. Consent and cookie controls

Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies (such as analytics and marketing cookies). You can manage your cookie preferences via our cookie banner (and, where available, a “cookie settings” link on the site).

5. Browser controls

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, and choose whether to accept cookies from specific sites. If you disable cookies, some parts of the website may not function properly.

6. Updates to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we change the cookies we use. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date in the Privacy Policy.
